“We must be the most boring people in Cleveland, because we keep telling everyone we meet how awesome our experience was at Thunder City. Matt (11 year old son) and I still can’t believe we did it!
I’m Thunder City’s biggest fan… what you are doing is fantastic. I hope to return one day and bring some of my colleagues in sales to take a flip around the Cape!”
Mike La Fortune USA Hawker Hunter flight - May 2003
“I think my feet have just about touched the ground!
I really appreciate the help and consideration you afforded me during my visit, informal yet very professional. Please pass on my thanks to everyone concerned that got my little body into the air and back again.
It was a lifetime experience that I will dine out on for a very long time - at least until I come back to fly the Lightning!”
Mike Marais UK Hawker Hunter flight June 2002
“Thank you for the most unbelievable experience of my life.
It is something I will remember for the rest of my life.
Please tell all involved that I am very grateful for this once in a lifetime experience.
Special regards to ‘Beachy Head’.”

“…I would like to thank you all at Thunder City for a great time, Sanjay and I enjoyed all aspects of the Cape - it was a pity that we could not stay longer to see and do more but we will make our plans for our next visit to include more TIME!!!
Once again thank you and all the team at Thunder City for a wonderful experience (we will send you some wonderful shots taken from the Lightning) - hope to see you soon.”

“We just returned from our trip yesterday, and we had a very good time in this lovely country of yours. We had a wonderful time flying with Thunder City - it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience.”

“My trip to Thunder City was certainly the most astounding experience of my
life so far. Everybody I met was very welcoming and informative.
The actual event of going up in a Hawker Hunter was exhilarating beyond belief. The breathtaking agility of the aircraft, and being able to actually fly it briefly, led to a phenomenal trip with awe inspiring views that were out of this world -literally!”
John Virgo UK Hawker Hunter flight October 2002
“We had an amazing time in Cape Town and I think the film will show what a fabulous city you live in.
Needless to say, one of my highlights was definitely meeting you and being looked after so well. It certainly is a credit to you that the filming took place and our audience got a look into one of the most brilliant experiences on this planet. Anyway, thank you for everything you did to make it such an amazing trip! One I will never forget!”
Kate Black UK - BBC ‘You Call The Shots’ BAe Buccaneer October 2002
What's the best view of Capetown?
Most definitely upside down from the cockpit of a Hawker Hunter at 400 knots!
An absolutely mindblowing day out, courtesy of one of the most friendly
flying establishments I have come across.
Carl Parkin - UK - November 2002
"...Mike Beachy (chief pilot) may not be leaner than Tom Cruise but he is definitely meaner.... Truly the most exotic, exhilarating, action-packed 60 minutes I have ever experienced...the breathless sensation of 6Gs in a tight turn; flying upside down, free-falling and spinning that makes even the largest, fastest roll-coaster look amateurish; zooming past cars below (with your jet barely off the ground) makes driving a Formula 1 race car utterly boring; assaulting air control tower like an arrogant Top Gun pilot...and when your adrenaline is not pumping for those few precious moments, you can suck in the beautiful sceneries of Cape Town and its suburbs from the air....my next trip has to be on the space shuttle to beat this!..."
